Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator
Oakhurst Signs. Tampa, FL - USA

The Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for carrying out the daily purchasing processes for Oakhurst Signs / Viscom Graphics ensuring the timely and efficient procurement of company materials, and the coordination and tracking of outbound freight. The purchasing/logistics team is key to ensuring continued supply of our raw materials inbound to support the manufacturing operation, and the management and coordination of our outbound finished goods.
The Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for carrying out the daily purchasing processes for Oakhurst Signs / Viscom Graphics ensuring the timely and efficient procurement of company materials, and the coordination and tracking of outbound freight. The purchasing/logistics team is key to ensuring continued supply of our raw materials inbound to support the manufacturing operation, and the management and coordination of our outbound finished goods.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Obtain a thorough understanding of the organization’s processes to promote customer satisfaction and comply with all scheduled objectives.

  • Perform the daily purchasing processes for stocked items (with an MRP evaluation as needed), non-stocked items, capital equipment and services

  • Maintain a network and cooperate with all involved stakeholders in identified projects

  • Address inventory and receiving issues as identified

  • Ensure contractual obligations are implemented, maintained and compliant

  • Oversee the inbound inventory


Support the inventory reconciliation with our Vendors



  • Act as the primary point of contact for vendor partners for service issues and escalations liaison

  • Participate in daily team meetings to address open tasks, issues and projects and ensure actions are being taken to ensure KPI's are met

  • Contribute to the Customer Experience ensuring delivery of acceptable quality goods and services on-time

  • Resolve disputes or complaints between requestor's, purchasing, receiving, and vendors

  • Record and manage actions in relation to supplier incidents

  • Participate in quarterly supplier reviews and ensure corrective actions are implemented

  • Execute applicable Quality System processes

  • Other duties as assigned


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Must have experience working with ERP/MRP system

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-changing environment

  • Must have strong business analytic skills

  • Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction and support service delivery

  • Must be a team player with high initiative and energy with the ability to work cross-functionally and drive process and projects

  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE



  • Relevant experience in a purchasing organization required

  • Supply Chain & logistics experience preferably in a global environment
