Job Description

Our client company is an underground utility and site development firm founded nearly twenty years ago as a means to put the founders years of construction and management experiences to a new and exciting challenge. Their goal was simply to be “The Best Of The Best” in everything they do. The company offers a wide array of construction services which includes sidewalk/driveway repair and installation, asphalt paving/patching, Bobcat services, grading, clearing, seal coating & striping, underground utility and repair, demolition, and site cleanup. The company approaches each project with the principle focus of its efforts on exceeding the standard of quality needed to exceed their clients expectations. Company growth through client referral and competitive bidding has allowed the company to expand the diversity and level of services provided while maintaining strong relationships with each client. Based in Volusia County, the firm works in half a dozen other neighboring Florida Counties.

The company has an immediate need for a Site Development Estimator

Position Overview:

Job duties include but are not limited to:

· Submits bids by deadline without exception

· Analyzed bid specifications, drawings and plans for deep understanding of the project to ensure bid meets all requirements to be awarded the job

· Requests, compiles and follows up with subcontractor bid requests including transmission of agenda, schedule and all relevant bid information needed to provide quote

· Works with management team to ensure budget covers all cost and profit margin requirements prior to submitting bid

· Consistently follows up on previously submitted bids and budgets

· Submits and reviews bid documents, budgets and drawings with Project Managers for processing in a timely manner to ensure a seamless and successful transition to the active job phase

· Completes job take offs

· Provides customers and subcontractors with pertinent pre-start job status information including Project Manager and/or Superintendent contact information

· This position may require extra hours and additional duties not specifically outlined in this job description

Required Skills:

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as Earthworks, Project, etc.

· Self-Motivated and able to complete tasks with little supervision

· Punctual with excellent attendance

· Ability to build strong win-win relationships both within and outside of the company

· Compensation commensurate with experience, salary and hourly options available

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $52,000.00 to $68,000.00 /year
